Enter the world of AVATAR

One of the best films I saw since "What Dreams May Come".
James is a genius.
I have never been this interested to a movie and how it was done since "Titanic." He's still the "king of the World."
AVATAR is a story to tell to anyone of any age.

These red boots are made for dancing

I can't believe I was able to dance in these red snakeskin boots. Our Rodeo Bash was a lil circus. All performers were aiming for the 15k Prize, unfortunately we got just the 3rd place. I also won a Slimmers GC worth Php1,500 which expired the next day after the event... lucky much?

assistants birthday cake

I was surprised when someone knocked on our door with a cake! He wasn't my boyfriend, just a friend from High School. They planned it all since I decided not to celebrate because of my Lola's death. It was sweet and touching. I just ordered pizza and spicy chicken wings. Miranda much? welcome to take out and delivery era!

Assistant bids goodbye to Lola

This picture was taken December last year on her birthday a few weeks after my Lola had an accident. It was when my Lolo showed up in my Aunt's dream and asks if my grandmother can join him in peace. My Aunt said they still need their Mother and begged Lolo not to take her yet. He only replied, "Alright but this will be a difficult year for her." He was right. Throughout the year, my Lola was in and out of the hospital. She had therapies and lost her will to fight. Obviously, She's tired and wanted to rest. It was us who wanted her to hang on. Just like any body else, we don't want her to leave and die. Her last 3 months was rough. She doesn't eat, we had to put tubes in her stomach to fill with food. She had difficulties in breathing and talking. On her last night, I was able to see and talk to her. She was lying almost lifeless. You'd only notice some movement on her feet as if its a body language. We were reading her our Lolo's love letter dated 1949, 2 years before their wedding in 1950. He was still courting my Lola then. He used words only "makata" uses in their speech and writing. Untainted Love it was. They had 9 kids, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I was lucky enough to know her when I stayed with her for 2 years in Freshman to Sophomore High. She may not be the showy, sweet type, but she's caring and compassionate. Making her smile might be difficult but sweet when you're successful. 4 days after her burial, I can still feel the pain. But I know she's happy now with my Lola in peace, in heaven. Good bye Lola!

Assistant attends a fashion awards

Fashion awards, fashion awards, did I say it twice? Fashion awards should be posh, fashion forward and unfashionably late. This one was a shock. It's the longest and most hilarious awards night to date. longest? try to be there an hour ahead when the program went from 6pm to 11:30pm. Hilarious? They only have less than 10 awards given but it took them forever to announce it. They hired limping and unsmiling models who are not models in any angle. Almost nude gay performers with an army of callboy-looking back-up dancers killed the night plus The announcer has a twisted tongue, how bad can it be? It almost made my eyes and ears bleed. For a framed certificate and a lil charity work, we had to endure sitting down and force ourselves to watch the show.

Assistant goes dancing with APL

Friday night, we were supposed to go to Cubao X but my friend had us listed on Encore's GL. Not much has been changed with the old-embassy. The rooms were just switched and the name changed. It wasn't such a bad idea because APL was their guest DJ. Like APL as the DJ, how cool is it right?

Sleepless nights with cutter, christmas ligths and foam boards

This is my baby. Finally my Christmas window design has materialized. This is the end product of my team's sweat and blood. Each mall has different concept but same design. Red, black and white are the colors used to achieve the sophisticated but holiday-ish feel.

Piolo hunting

Let's be honest, many people ran to see Piolo. I was there for the same reason. Unlucky us we didnt make it to the first 3,000 registrants and weren't able to get singlets. The real price was seeing Piolo for the first time. He's really handsome and sexy. He finished 10k in less than an hour. Pretty fast for a first timer as well. I hadb to jog and walk to finish 5k in 48 mins and 34 secs. Now I have 2 marathon certificates. Guess this can be a healthy habit...

Assistant goes to UAAP vs NCAA Game

                                               TJ and ANDREI

Boom

We sponsored last saturdays game of UAAP vs NCAA game televised live in Studio23. It's fun to see the production staff, technical team and the hosts wearin the our brand. It was my first time to watch a basketball game except for the baranggay basketball I used to watch in the province when my sister was their muse. The adrenalin rush can be felt by just watching. No wonder why most filipinos are addicted to it. I was just a lil dissappointed with the players, theyre not good looking. Jocks should be goodlooking right? or else High School clique is over!

Move over Akihiro: Here comes Daniel Matsunaga

Razzle Dazzle Show

When I saw Daniel Matsunaga from The Cosmo Bachelor Bash '09 I said to myself "That guy has a cute smile." It's now official, Im crushing on him. My staff said he was nice to them when he tried on the ensemble for the show. When I saw him walking down the runway and smiled, feels like I'm 16 again. He was the star of the Fashion Show. But look what I found online when I tried to search for pictures...

"Not so wholesome pictures u got there Daniel but I love it"

TIME is running out

I have a few hours to sleep before the marathon. I wanted to check how TIMEX marathon works since it has been doing it for some time. And the fact that Piolo will be running for 10k already made me decide to go, regardless of my physical state. This is the best time to catch him since I already missed him in Garage  and A-venue Events.  I'd better be ready for some Piolo stalking tom. Wish me luck.

Naughty or Nice

There's a coming Fashion Show in Shangri-La this weekend and today was the fitting. All retail participants drag their own hangrails full of merchandise. Its a sea of hangrails and good looking models inside the Hall. As always, most people from the fashion world are snob but todays an exception. When Luke approached me Brand, He smiled and introduced himself. I said to myself, he's nice. The others models just smiled and some don't. Peter and I didn't say hi. Fashion Business is one bitchy world!

finally, it's over

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTn9Y6rsFeU

Seeing the thousands of people wearing the shirt I design and the IZOD booth my team prepared for only 3 days made my day. Being a sponsor wasn't easy, what more for ABS-CBN Foundation who organized the whole event. Though there were challenges, it was worth it. Our next step is to visit the rehabilitation site of the used to be pasig river settlers so we know where our money was spent.

ETC Love

Today I paid a visit to my loved channel ETC to have a meeting with it's Marketing Team. I didn't realize how fun it is to be in the Cable Television business until they told me you have a chance to go to the US to meet and greet the TV stars. I was like, Do you have an opening? Can it be anymore fun when you get sony ericson MP3 freebies as easy as getting some candies? and look at the Glee goodies I got from them?  and Chuck Bass, lovely right? sorry Im a fan!
