This is it!

Yesterday was a busy day. I was juggling from one place to another, meeting one client after the other. It's cruch time for the retail business. Planning, meeting, buying, events are done all at the same time. It was round the clock store visit from South to Shangri-La, had a tenants meeting in Shangri-La, went back to office to meet the Sales team from the sister company, flew to Fiama to support BusinessMirror Launch party and went back to Shangri-La to watch  AXN sponsored "This is It". MJ is inspiring. I might not see a true artist with the same love and passion for Music like he does in years. His concert could have been phenominal if not a legend should it happened. So long Michael, your songs will resonate in my sleep....

Should I start my own movie?

This picture was shot in a studio while I was styling the models in between lay-outs. I asked my friend to make it a Sex and the City poster. This is the end product, it almost looks like an adult gay movie.

Hermes coming

The first Hermes Boutique in the Philippines is due to open anytime soon. It's exciting to see the hug trademark orange bag with hermes printed ribbons. Ms Maja Olivarez-Co is the chief interior designer of the boutique. Luckily, I was able to meet her in the PRA Convention. She's a woman of character and smiles.

The Run

IZOD Singlet front and back design

This is the singlet design for the Kapit Bisig Run. My design Im not that proud of. I think its very simple. My Boss told me it was worn by Piolo Pascual and Sarah Geronimo last week in ASAP '09 Show. Unlucky me I didn't see it. Registration is still on going in IZOD and VAN HEUSEN Boutiques. The Marathon will be on Nov 8, 2009 at the Quirino Grand Stand.

Is it our time?

Whenever I turn on the TV and hear the news, it's always about typhoon and flooding. Panic has become a household name, Fear is the new mood of the town. After 3 typhoons, another one is coming with a possible earthquake on top!  People have died in floods, landslides and now, leptospirosis. This has to stop.

Gala at the Atrium

This has become my favorite spot whenever I go to Mega. The Atrium hosts some brand names that I love. Hopefully all stores open up before this event so the area would not look empty

Another invitation

A friend of mine from BusinessMirror sent me this invite to their anniversary at Fiamma this 28. Cheers for them!

Assistants next movie date: Michael

After my blogging hiatus, Im now ready to plot my calendar for the coming events this October. Who knew my next date will be Michael. Since my childhood, I have been watching the Halloween saga. All the blood and flesh slashing give me the thrill. My vocal cords will soon be used again.

Ratings: Not good. I didnt scream much. The plot remains the same and the scenes are not as scary and gory as before. Drag me to hell is a whole lot better.

a lil Adriana drama

My worklife is killing me, I feel like im working more than 12 hours a day. I get up in the morning at6am to prepare for work by 8am, then leaves the office around 7pm, gets home around 8pm. Let's not count the extra-curricular activities I do if there's an event. Excluding my working saturday or a non-working saturday turned RDOT. Am I getting a life or am I living an assistant's life my work requires? Stress is getting to my nerves.... I ditched the Uno Magazine and Manila Hotel parties for a night of TV series update! It's my Gossip Girl, Heroes, and 90210 destressing regiment. I hate becoming Adriana Drama!

Next on Status Magazine

I have been receiving e-mail blasts from Status since their first issue but have never been to its parties. Status magazine is a visual digest and a good read specially their Lady Gaga issue. I wonder what the Music issue tackles after Gaga?

Assistant excites about New Moon

Just when I thought Im loosing the drive to do my job, another inspiration comes in. I have seen the first film of the Twilight saga and read a few pages of the book but that didn't make me a fan. Whats exciting is I get to use New Moon Images for the window display of "Brand X" if we pay promotional license. I hope we do because I have a lot of ideas for Brand X's promotions..

What to do next?

They say Life must go on, so Filipinos will. In our case, the business should continue unless we want to end up jobless. So what's my itinerary for the week? An invitation from Manila Hotel 97th Anniversary and Uno Mag: Wine Appreciation Night in Nu.Vo tonight.

Been busy lately

it's me packing clothes from the old collection

40% of the office population has been affected by typhoon Ondoy. To do our share, we gave out old collection clothes to the victims. The Rosario Sports Arena was filled with mud covered victims seeking refuge from the flood and rains. Different vans and trucks parked at the facade offering relief goods from food to clothes, including ours. We also did rounds to check out the villages in ortigas extension with the emergency van for trapped victims. Riverside, De Castro and Floodway areas were flooded almost 2 storey high. Residents get alarmed whenever they hear engine sounds hoping it is the rescue team or a truck of food supply. Day 2 we revisited the areas in great need of clothing supply. Not much has changed physically but some residents are rebuilding their lives and started to make a living. A week passed but some areas are still flooded. Our team will continue to give out relief goods in different Barrangays until this catastrophe is over. I just don't know how these people would ever recover for the 3 more typhoons to come...
