Enter the world of AVATAR

One of the best films I saw since "What Dreams May Come".
James is a genius.
I have never been this interested to a movie and how it was done since "Titanic." He's still the "king of the World."
AVATAR is a story to tell to anyone of any age.

assistants birthday cake

I was surprised when someone knocked on our door with a cake! He wasn't my boyfriend, just a friend from High School. They planned it all since I decided not to celebrate because of my Lola's death. It was sweet and touching. I just ordered pizza and spicy chicken wings. Miranda much? welcome to take out and delivery era!

Assistant bids goodbye to Lola

This picture was taken December last year on her birthday a few weeks after my Lola had an accident. It was when my Lolo showed up in my Aunt's dream and asks if my grandmother can join him in peace. My Aunt said they still need their Mother and begged Lolo not to take her yet. He only replied, "Alright but this will be a difficult year for her." He was right. Throughout the year, my Lola was in and out of the hospital. She had therapies and lost her will to fight. Obviously, She's tired and wanted to rest. It was us who wanted her to hang on. Just like any body else, we don't want her to leave and die. Her last 3 months was rough. She doesn't eat, we had to put tubes in her stomach to fill with food. She had difficulties in breathing and talking. On her last night, I was able to see and talk to her. She was lying almost lifeless. You'd only notice some movement on her feet as if its a body language. We were reading her our Lolo's love letter dated 1949, 2 years before their wedding in 1950. He was still courting my Lola then. He used words only "makata" uses in their speech and writing. Untainted Love it was. They had 9 kids, 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. I was lucky enough to know her when I stayed with her for 2 years in Freshman to Sophomore High. She may not be the showy, sweet type, but she's caring and compassionate. Making her smile might be difficult but sweet when you're successful. 4 days after her burial, I can still feel the pain. But I know she's happy now with my Lola in peace, in heaven. Good bye Lola!

Assistant attends a fashion awards

Fashion awards, fashion awards, did I say it twice? Fashion awards should be posh, fashion forward and unfashionably late. This one was a shock. It's the longest and most hilarious awards night to date. longest? try to be there an hour ahead when the program went from 6pm to 11:30pm. Hilarious? They only have less than 10 awards given but it took them forever to announce it. They hired limping and unsmiling models who are not models in any angle. Almost nude gay performers with an army of callboy-looking back-up dancers killed the night plus The announcer has a twisted tongue, how bad can it be? It almost made my eyes and ears bleed. For a framed certificate and a lil charity work, we had to endure sitting down and force ourselves to watch the show.
